Global Challenges

Experience changes people’s perspectives. These Global Challenges plans gets the whole church, a small group, or your family (since churches are now in our homes!) involved mid-week across the street and around the world. A Global Challenge could run the same time as a sermon series plan and no one even has to leave the house. Or a small-group or family could choose to do a challenge while reading and discussing the book Across the Street and Around the World.

THE GLOBAL CHALLENGE: EAT REFUGEE RATIONS

Five days of eating just oatmeal, rice, beans and flour? The whole church? The whole family? Yes! Because when we experience something, we remember it, and it changes us. The whole church and the whole family gets involved. Let’s shake things up and take The Global Challenge: Eat Refugee Rations.

The global challenge: discover by doing

Going barefoot? Turning the lights off? Drinking from only one water source? Setting alarms to ring every ten minutes? Going without food? Five days of doing something visibly different while you go about your regular day. The whole church? The whole family? Yes! Because when we experience something, we remember it, and it changes us. The whole church and the whole family gets involved. Let’s shake things up and take The Global Challenge: Discover by Doing.

The Global Challenge: Prayer PathWays

Praying in complete solitude and silence in an empty room? Praying for the nations while doing research online? Praying while reciting a verse in a chant and keeping a shell in my pocket all day? Praying with incense and rubberbands? Praying during a walk in the woods? Five days to practice prayer in a new way. The whole church? The whole family? Yes! Because when we experience something together, we remember it, and it changes us. The whole church and the whole family gets involved. Let’s shake things up and take The Global Challenge: Prayer PathWays
